When writing poetry, you always have to think about word choice.
If you're just writing everything that pops into your mind, you're doing it wrong!
Xavier,
ReplyDeleteAs a writer, I am very interested in poetry. I've written quite a few poems, but only a few that I have been happy with. I would love to read some of your work! Here is a haiku I found by Matsuo Basho
Spring:
A hill without a name
Veiled in morning mist.
What do you think? Love Thia Jocelyn
Dear Thia Jocelyn,
ReplyDeleteThat is a wonderful haiku! My favorite poet is Robert Frost. My favorite poem by Frost is, "Fire And Ice":
Some say the world will end in fire,
Some say in ice.
From what I've tasted of desire
I hold with those who favor fire.
But if it had to perish twice,
I think I know enough of hate
To say that for destruction ice
Is also great
And would suffice.
What do you think?
Sincerely,
Xavier P.
